| Craig & Rhodes has recently completed the design and contract superintendency on a 140 lot residential subdivision at Sector 8 Warriewood on behalf of Australand.
The civil design included design of road & drainage together with sewer & water reticulation mains.
The existing topography of the site involved an existing creek line and 1:100 flooding constraints.
To provide residential lots above the 1:100 level and to ensure drainage of the site significant lot filling and site, regrading was required to establish effective lot benching.
The design also interfaced with WSUD initiatives required in conjunction with the existing creek line.
Contract administration involved tender invitation and analysis, contractor recommendations, superintendency, progress claims, variations to contract sum and service authority management.
In particular, extensive negotiations were held with Energy Australia for the design and undergrounding of a 33kV high voltage transmission line passing through the site.
